DESCRIPTION:A play from away! Explore improvisation\, characterization\, voice and speech\, costume design\, and more as you create an original virtual play! With an emphasis on creativity and personal expression\, students will meet in weekly live online classes to develop\, memorize\, and film their role in the play. At the end of the semester\, each actor's part will be edited together to create a virtual performance! \n\n  \n\nJanuary 25 - March 22\n\nMondays from 5:30 - 6:15 PM EST\n\nGrades: 3rd - 5th\n\nVirtual Platform: Zoom \n\nInstructor: Tania Battista \n\nTuition: $150*\n\n \n\nSupplies Needed: Internet connection\, a device with a working camera for video submissions  (mobile phone\, tablet\, or computer).\n\nStudio 52 is supported by Walnut Cove Members Association and Eaton Corporation. This project was supported by the North Carolina Arts Council\, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. www.NCArts.org\n \n\n*Payment options \n\nTuition payments can be completed in full online.  \n\nPartial payments may be made over the phone by calling the Box Office at (828) 693-0731 or in person Monday through Thursday from 10AM - 5PM. A $50 deposit is required to secure a student's spot in the class. Full payment must be completed halfway through the semester.\n\n?Students and families that register for more than one class are offered a $25 discount for each additional class. This offer applies to multiple classes for one student or family discounts for siblings.
