DESCRIPTION:Lights  Camera  Acting! Explore the fundamentals of on-camera acting in a nine week course led by professional actor and producer Marlane Barnes. Best known for her work on Sons of Anarchy and Mad Men\, Marlane will coach actors through scenes from real-world TV and film scripts. Learn on-camera tips and technique\, scale your performances from stage to screen\, explore your type\, and hone your on-camera and self-tape skills. No experience required.\n\nJanuary 25 - March 22\n\nMondays from 7 - 8 PM EST\n\nGrades: 9th - 12th\n\nVirtual Platform: Zoom\n\nInstructor: Marlane Barnes\n\nTuition: $175*\n\nSupplies Needed: Internet connection\, a device (mobile phone\, tablet\, or computer) with a working camera for video submissions.\n\nStudio 52 is supported by Walnut Cove Members Association and Eaton Corporation. This project was supported by the North Carolina Arts Council\, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. www.NCArts.org\n\n\n\n*Payment options\n\nTuition payments can be completed in full online.\n\nPartial payments may be made over the phone by calling the Box Office at (828) 693-0731 or in person Monday through Thursday  from 10AM - 5PM. A $50 deposit is required to secure a student's spot in the class. Full payment must be completed halfway through the semester.\n\nStudents and families that register for more than one class are offered a $25 discount for each additional class. This offer applies to multiple classes for one student or family discounts for siblings.
