DESCRIPTION:"I wish... more than anything!"\n\nDive into Broadway repertoire and character analysis in this class that celebrates "I want" songs\; the musical moment spotlighting a protagonist's hopes and dreams. With a focus on acting through song\, intention\, and motivation\, young artists will discover what drives a character as they learn\, develop\, and perform a musical revue of "I want" songs presented at the end of the semester in an original virtual showcase. \n\n \n\nJanuary 26 - March 23\n\nTuesdays from 5 - 6 PM EST\n\nGrades: 6th - 8th\n\nVirtual Platform: Zoom\n\nInstructors: Anna Kimmell\, Matthew Glover \n\nTuition: $175*\n\n Supplies Needed: Internet connection\, headphones\, a device (mobile phone\, tablet\, or computer) with a camera for video submissions. \n\nStudio 52 is supported by Walnut Cove Members Association and Eaton Corporation. This project was supported by the North Carolina Arts Council\, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. www.NCArts.org\n\n\n\n*Payment options \n\nTuition payments can be completed in full online. \n\nPartial payments may be made over the phone by calling the Box Office at (828) 693-0731 or in person Monday through Thursday from 10AM - 5PM. A $50 deposit is required to secure a student's spot in the class. Full payment must be completed halfway through the semester.\n\n?Students and families that register for more than one class are offered a $25 discount for each additional class. This offer applies to multiple classes for one student or family discounts for siblings.
